Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation

The Ministry of Enterprise and Innovation is responsible for matters relating to housing and urban development, state-owned enterprises, information technology, enterprise and industrial policy, rural affairs, regional growth, post issues and infrastructure. Enterprise policy is governed by an explicit employment goal. It also wants to reinforce Sweden's innovation capacity and innovation climate in order to contribute to sustainable development and create the conditions for new jobs to emerge throughout Sweden. All enterprise policy initiatives in Sweden are also to contribute towards the goals of the EU's common strategy for growth and employment, Europe 2020.
