Malta Enterprise (ME) is the national development agency responsible for promoting and facilitating international investment in the Maltese Islands. The Malta Enterprise network operates in various countries around the globe. The organisation also coordinates initiatives to promote the Islands’ economic growth attractiveness. Malta Enterprise operates a number of schemes to promote research and innovation in private enterprise. These include tax incentives, subsidised loans and grants. It is an intermediary body for the utilisation of structural and cohesion funds. It operates a number of grant schemes financed through these EU funds. Its flagship is the "20 million for industry" initiative.
