Council for Science and Technology (CST)

CST is the UK Government's top-level advisory body on science and technology policy issues. CST advises the Prime Minister, the First Ministers of Scotland and Wales and the responsible Minister at the Northern Ireland Office on strategic issues that cut across the responsibilities of individual government departments. The Council's main activity is to interface at a higher level between the Government's Departments and the Government in matters of Science and Technology. The Council works on cross-cutting issues of strategic importance, taking a medium to longer term approach.
