Main activity summary
The main activity of INNOVIRIS consists in funding research projects undertaken within the companies, the universities and the higher education institutes located in the Brussels-Capital Region. The tasks of INNOVIRIS are defined in the order of 26 June 2003 and include: the encouragement, financial support and economic exploitation of scientific research and technological innovation in accordance with regional policy; Communication on science policy issues; the representation of the Brussels-Capital Region within various organisations; the provision of statistical indicators and information to Brussels research actors; the management of scientific research projects with an international scope.
