Ministry for European Affairs and Implementation of the Electoral Manifesto

The Ministry for European Affairs was first established in March 2013 as part of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat’s first cabinet.
The Ministry is responsible for Relations with the European Union in their wider sense, EU Internal Coordination and Malta’s presidency of the EU in 2017. The Parliamentary Secretariat for EU Funds within the Ministry for European Affairs houses the managing authority for EU Structural Funds. The Ministry also serves the function of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
