Poland 2017 National Legal Document

The strategy  is an instrument to  manage main development processes in Poland, defining a new model of development. It combines a strategic and operational dimension by delineating necessary activities and implementation instruments.
The main objectives of the strategy are: sustainable economic growth increasingly driven by knowledge, data and organizational excellence; socially sensitive and territorially sustainable development; effective state and economic institutions contributing to  growth, as well as social and economic inclusion.

Austria 2017 National Legal Document

This law revision regulates how the Universities related-Structural Funds are competitively awarded among public universities in Austria.This is based on quality, quantity and performance indicators such as the number of study programmes, number of graduates, third-party funding and doctoral candidates employed by the universities. The available amount of the Higher Education Area - Structural Funds is divided into 5 shares: 60% for study programmes; 8% for graduates; 15% for knowledge transfer; 4% for structured doctoral programmes and 13% for cooperations.

It forms part of a larger strategic agenda called Marshall Pan 4.0 that was approved in May 2015 and that envisages to make the region of Wallonia more competitive.

This document is the 2016 edition of the National Reform Programme of Luxembourg, which reviews the implementation status of measures announced in 2015 and addresses the 2015-2016 Council recommendations. In addition it takes on Luxembourg's national objectives for 2020, the priorities of the Annual Growth Survey 2016 and the conclusions of Luxembourg's 2016 Country Report published by the Commision in February 2016.

Finland 2016 National Legal Document

This action plan provides a more detailed description of the timetables, measures and financing of the key projects. It is a programme for change to which the Government is strongly committed. The Government has decided to make a one-off appropriation of EUR 1 billion for the key projects and determined the allocation of the funds in the General Government Fiscal Plan for 2016–2018. This Government action plan will be implemented within the framework of said funding, the existing authorised spending limits and the other provisions of the General Government Fiscal Plan.

Cyprus 2016 National Legal Document

The R&I framework programme 2014-2020 was launched in 2016 under the name “RESTART 2016-2020 Programmes”, after no new calls had been published during 2014 and 2015. The programme mainly implements measures set out in Cyprus's smart specialisation strategy, and forms part of the Structural Funds Operational Programme "Competitiveness and Sustainable Development".

The plan aims to be the reference framework for the research and innovation policy and a catalyst for socio-economic development, while also promoting the welfare of the inhabitants of Brussels.

The STEM Action Plan aims to encourage young people to choose scientific, technical, technological and mathematical university majors and professions. It has resulted in the STEM Monitor, an indicator dashboard that systematically tracks inflow into, and successful completion of, STEM studies at various levels of education.

From 2016 onwards the emphasis will be on target group policy (girls, technical and vocational secondary education and young people with a disadvantaged socio-economic background), as well as on the relevance of STEM to society.
