Malta College of Art, Science & Technology (MCAST)

The Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST) was set up in 2001 with the aim to centralise the provision of vocational education and training in Malta. Today, MCAST together with its institutes is the major provider of vocational education and training in Malta and Gozo; it falls under the portfolio of the Ministry for Education, Employment & Family that provides the budget for operational and personnel costs. MCAST maintains links with the university and industry and private education institutions; the latter deliver some of MCAST’s courses e.g. in ICT.
