Association Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics e.V. (BME)

The BME is the German professional association for materials management, purchasing and logistics. It provides services for around 9,000 members from various business sectors (manufacturing, trade, public-sector contracting authorities, etc.). Through its member companies, the BME represents an annual purchasing volume of EUR 1.25 trillion. An essential objective of the association is to set future trends and to promote economic developments and innovations. The BME has a section aimed specifically at public-sector contracting authorities in order to support public procurement. The association also runs the Competence Centre for Innovative Procurement (KOINNO).
